DRESS CODE & COURSE ETIQUETTE
Studley Wood is a very relaxed and informal golf club but we do require that golfers follow our guidelines on correct attire when playing the course.
We are proud of our course and would ask all players to respect it.
Course etiquette is an integral part of the game of golf and defines its values worldwide. We do not supervise or referee the game but rely on the integrity of the individual to show consideration for other players, care for the course and to abide by the Rules.
Care of the Course: Please ensure that bunkers are raked and that your divots and pitch-marks are repaired. How you play the course directly impacts those that follow you!!
Keeping Pace: Our Marshals are usually employed for larger events and charity days. However, it is your groups’ responsibility to keep up with those playing ahead of you, particularly at busy times of the year. Please respect your tee-time and do not start off earlier than your allotted spot.
Be ready to play as soon as it is your turn; leave your bags or buggies on the side of the green nearest the next tee. Searching for lost balls will have a knock on effect. Please play a provisional ball. If you decide to search for a ball signal to the group following you to play through if it is apparent that the ball will not be easily found.
Consideration for Others: Show respect for all others on the course whether they are your playing partners, opponents or our green-keeping staff. Remain aware of your surroundings and look out for the safety of others.
Thank you and Enjoy your Game!!
