Golf At Studley Wood
Studley Wood is situated in a magnificent parkland setting with 44 acres of ancient woodland at its heart. Designed by Simon Gidman in 1995, our Par 73 course provides a challenge for all standards of golfer and is well known for the exceptional quality of its greens. A well stocked Pro Shop is managed by AB Golf and lessons and custom fittings are available from our Golf Pros. We are a TaylorMade Performance Studio and Mizuno Fitting centre. Our extensive practice facilities include a 15-bay flood-lit driving range that is open to members and visitors, a chipping green with practice bunker and a putting green by the clubhouse.
Pro Shop
Our pro-shop is managed by Adam Bishop Golf who have specialist knowledge of the golf club, accessory and clothing market. As part of their wider retail operation, Studley Wood members and visitors benefit from having access to a comprehensive selection of equipment, golf shoes, accessories and clothing. AB Golf hold vast selections of golf brands and for each brand they have the highest level of fitting carts offering the biggest selection of golf clubs in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire. All our professionals can custom fit for the latest golf clubs & we have a Custom Fitting Specialist for the leading brands including TaylorMade, Mizuno, PXG, Cleveland, Srixon, Ping, Cobra, Titleist and Callaway. Once we have finished your fitting, we will have the following information:
- The model of club(s)
- The most suitable shaft
- The Length, Lie Angle, & Grip Size
- And a Fitting solution to allow the correct distance between each club in your bag.
Golf Pros & Teaching
Andy Charlton
Andy enjoys teaching all areas of the golf game and specialises in video coaching. A golf professional for a number of years Andy teaches at all levels and is currently a BB&O coach looking after a number of county players. Andy runs a number of junior classes and camps at Studley Wood. ‘With Andy’s help we qualified for the US kids Golf World Championship Finals at Pinehurst. Driving Range
Alongside our TaylorMade Performance Studio and Mizuno Fitting Centre we have a fully covered 15 bay flood-lit driving range available for both our members and visitors to use. Next to this is a superb short game chipping green with bunker plus practice putting greens by the clubhouse. The Driving Range accepts contactless cards / mobile phone payments plus members cards. Our golf professionals offer a wide range of lessons for juniors and beginners through to bespoke one to one analysis of your swing and short game.
